Travel by road to Bahariya Oasis. Enjoy a tour around the old village of the oasis and see the groves of palms and fruit trees. Then take a trip to the Black Mountains, the sand dunes and the salt lake. Visit the ruin on a hill, 'the English House' at sunset and enjoy the panoramic view. In the evening, visit the village and shops. Overnight at Bahariya. |

Visit the old fortified town of Siwa, then bathe in the bubbling pool, Cleopatra's Bath. See the ancient tombs in the Mountain of the Dead and the oracle that Alexander the Great consulted as well as the Temple of Amun, nearby. Travel by road to the bay of Mersa Matrouh on the Mediterranean Coast with its long beach of soft white sands and its clear, calm waters. Overnight in Mersa Matrouh. |

Travel by road to Alamein, the site of a great battle during WW II, and visit the WW II Museum and Cemetery. Drive on to Alexandria and overnight.

Sightseeing trip in Alexandria, visiting Qaitbay Citadel, built in the 15th century by Sultan Qaitbay on the spot of Alexandria's ancient lighthouse. See the grand Montazah Palace, which combines Turkish and Florentine architectural styles, then move on to the new and much acclaimed Alexandria Library. Also visit the Roman cemetery cut out of the rock, the Catacombs. Return to Cairo and overnight. |
